Those are farsport 38mm clinchers. They lighten the bike up quite a bit.

Fizik shoes have cropped up on heavy discount in some UK online stores lately so I risked £90 on these R3 in red.

They are made very well, the fit is excellent at my usual size with one important remark; they have very pronounced arch support. I did 60km on them this morning and I was always aware of that so I will need to see how I feel about them with more riding. I guess these are the 2012 model, I believe the 2013 shoe is revised. Weight is around 700g/pair.

This stuff is awesome!

After long thinking..... (and today irritating that the Garmin is many times not straight with the standard rubbers) I decided to buy this one.

What shoes did you ride before? Also are your feet wide, considering a pair of these at the bargain prices

Other shoes are Specialised S-Works, think they're the 2010 model, also in 43. I think my feet are pretty much average, not wide or anything.

As I say, the Fizik size 43 fits me well. I did a 25-mile time trial in them yesterday and of all the many ways you can suffer riding hard for an hour, my feet weren't one of them.

Thinking about it, if the arch support issue is a concern maybe you should stretch to the discounted R1 shoes which have a heat-moldable insole.

Thanks, run a 43 in specialized too. Looking at the measurements a 42.5 is a similar length of shoe in Fizik to the specialized. Might buy a pair from somewhere that accepts unused returns.

@MarkGiardini, how is the stand? Does it work well, and is it stable?

Hi PP - the stand is pretty decent quality, easy to work, and seems very stable!

I will know when I have time to play around with it on the weekend.
