I would be cautious on using these wheels on steep and technical descends. I have a friend who is an excellent rider and descender. On a very hot day he destroyed his Reynolds on a steep descent. Here in Colorado the air is thinner and it does put extra stress on braking. He contacted Reynolds and they refused to warranty the wheels. Just beware.Johnny Rad wrote: ↑Sun Sep 30, 2018 3:51 amReynolds, Schwalbe and Challenge latex continue to work great for me. Two thumbs-up!
Appreciate the concern. I’m good to go.
Cane Creek G4 EE regular mount brake set - 178g/set (verified) vs 169g (mfg)Johnny Rad wrote: ↑Sun Sep 30, 2018 6:44 am...I also just bought a new set of G4 EE standard mount brakes (pics to follow). Not sure if I’ll use Reynold’s new fancy blue power pads or their regular old pads. I’ve used both through the years and find the power pads a wee bit stronger, but also noisier.
