Don't own a g1 for direct comparisons.. Have ridden it before.. And the difference is first a much lower pitch. The whine is gone.. And the overall noise is also lower from memory. Neo still is the king of noise level due to technology type it uses... But Kickr is not that far behind which is impressive. The package overall wins for me VS neo as noise was not my primary concern.kode54 wrote:how quiet is the 2018 version kickr compared to the first gen one? curious as i am concious about riding early before work (5am) trying not to wake up anyone.

On-topic: I'm dipping half a toe into the wider tire pool with this Schwalbe One 25c clincher (not tubeless). I thought everything we did here was lighter, but this 25c is ~45g heavier than my narrower 23c!
Off-topic: Did you upgrade from an earlier EE version? If yes, any noticeable imprrovements?
thx. good to know. i was thinking i need to get the quieter version...mainly because if i ride indoors, its when most of the family is asleep. the gen1 is fairly noisy so I don't ride indoors as much because of it.

What's the stem weight without bolts? What bolt size does it accept? My Kalloy Uno with hollow Ti bolts is 100g too, but something tells me that Lyti will be even lighter.
Replacement lupina padded saddle from Berk for my Colnago. He’s great to deal with. Highly recommend giving his product a try.

Can confirm. A pleasure to deal with and very forthcoming.
Got some XTR PD-M9100 pedals which feel great. Even though they are almost 100 grams heavier, they superseded the Xpedo M-Force 8 Ti.
Some dirty grease has been pushing out over the first 500-600km, though:
