Campy Bora Ultra skewers in. Not sure if the advertised weight (1166) is without skewers. Sorry tubs. ImageImage

Yes, advertised weights don't include skewers. That is pretty good I would say; didn't realize the 35 tubs were that light.

Your Lightning setup was pretty light already IIRC. How much do you expect to save?

Am I the only person that doesn't care about fancy packaging? Make sure it protects the product, but don't waste time, money and natural resources making it look pretty.

It is a lightweight wheelset and it gets some good reviews on this site. I was looking at the Enve 2.2 as well but I found the Bora for a better deal and they are deeper than the 2.2 and not much heavier for the wider rims of this era.

It is irritating to me too. Assos is huge is using as much packaging and fancy crap in their products. As far as I am concerned, just put it in a ziplock bag and send it. Seriously!!

A friend of mine once worked for a Pinarello store that only sold them and Assos. They had a whole room out back dedicated to the display boxes and packaging for the Assos stuff. Such a waste of space and money. If I'm buying a pair of bibs don't even bother with a bag, I'll use my own reusable canvas bag.

Not much, but I did it so I can transfer the Lightning to my spare bike which is currently running 175m 52/39 and have the THM on the Cannondale

looks pretty minimal in comparisson to Assos. in fact, not much plastic and more recyclable paper.

My Bora Ultra 35 tubs came in @ 1150g on the dot (rear: 660g, front: 490g). AC3 brake surface.

Perhaps some Ti skewers are in order to lighten things up a little more. But these Campy skewers are so nicely designed.

The part that attaches my wheels to my bicycle are one part I simply won't f*ck with for the sake of grams (another is the stem/handlebar). The campy skewers are great!
