That pic brings up a good point.... clamp to the mast cap? Is that the best spot?

Why not Black fabric dye, it should weigh less than paint and could be ezaly reapplied as needed.

Full carbon SMP. It is used and a couple years old but will give me a good idea what it's like instead of spending a boat load of money on something that might not work out.
