Beginning to gather parts to replace in my Look 595 Ultra circa 2008. Was originally built with Record 10 Sp, wcs Carbon stem/bars, Selle Italia SLR Kit Carbonio Flow, and a bunch of carbon wheels.

These are the first of many parts to replace in order to turn it into a Lighter (14.0 Lb as is) dedicated climber with 11 Sp SR Campy with a climbing gear. Besides, after so many years of riding with these seriously chitty brakes, it is time to safeguard my Life a bit moreImageImageImage

Kalloy 110 stem with Ti bolts

New bar tape for all bikes

Rear G4 eebrakes.

Front G4

These brakes will go to my C60 and the G3 will go to the Look.

It seems the G4 version is heavier than ever before?
Heavier (175 grm) than the ciamilo zero gravity they will replace, but unlike those these actually stop the bike and don’t require re-centering every time you press the brake levers!!

I really like that Gecko tape, it has been holding up well for me.

Thanks. It’s the 40cm version which is measured in the drops. If measured at the hoods it’s 38.5cm C-T-C. The logo is painted and someone said it can be removed using acetone. There’s another thread on this bar and I posted some more details in the other thread. The bar is the THM Ulna.

Hah, correct! The EE and the THM FIBULA is the only brakes that can stop the bike in the lightweight range

Schwalbe One 23c clinchers
*207g
* 211g
* 221g
* 228g

[My last batch of 23c's were 212g and 215g. The batch previous to that were 219g and 227g. All in all, not bad consistency.]

My first set of lightweights. After having a terrible luck with flats, trying my first pair of clinchers on a road bike

My first set of lightweights...
Yummy! Looking forward to the ride report.

<><><><><><><><><>

Bont Helix, sz 43 for next season
Verified, 478g/pair w/factory insoles (mfg claimed 520g/pair for sz 46.5)
Early indications from my feet are very positive - both feet have high hopes.

Replacing Bont Vaypor S
Verified, sub-500g/pair (and likely within a few grams of the Helix) w/factory insoles (mfg claimed 406g/pair)
https://weightweenies.starbike.com/foru ... r#p1222944
Very good, but not perfect. Not as indestructible as the earlier Vaypor. Specifically, the toe protector is not tall enough to truly protect the "leather." Didn't have the perfect glass slipper feeling as the earlier Vaypor either. Still, a very good shoe.

Which replaced Bont Vaypor, sz 42.5 (old sizing convention)
Verified, 522g/pair w/factory insoles (mfg claimed 480g/pair)
Excellent shoes. Lasted something like 5 seasons as my primary shoe. Still pulling ative duty on the trainer. Just won't die.

Which replaced Bont A1, sz 42.5 (old sizing convention)
...but I digress other than to demonstrate I'm a Bont homer.

Another happy new owner of a Kalloy ultra light stem, thanks to this site. Graphics came off easily in about 5 seconds with wife's acetone nail polish remover.
90mm 7-degree stem Kalloy AL 7 7050 Ultra-Light aluminum stem from some ebay seller.
On my cheap Harbor Freight gram-scale:
101g with the 6 supplied steel bolts and washers
92g with black ti bolts and washers (don't know if those tiny washers are also ti or if they're steel)
