@Makoy, absolutely love your pictures. Good to see you are dry and safe.

And I vote the eating while riding picture as the best on this thread in a long while.

Are there many sandstorms? Do you ever get sand blowing in your face? Sand in the drivetrain?

I've been in Dubai a few months now and only seen one sandstorm - you just don't go riding...

It can get pretty windy out in the desert and it does pick up a bit of sand. I've been out at night recently without my glasses on and you get a bit of sand in the eyes but nothing too annoying.

The bikes can end up covered in sand - really important to use a dry lube otherwise the chain gets covered in a sand gloop.

Been exploring a lot of new (to me) roads lately. Awesome fun! The feel and vibe are totally different then your usual loops.

Routier, fantastic photo, always a great composition. Where is that (beyond NW) ?
Jamie, I take it you miss the mountains - I would too. But it's getting cold, and riding will be much more limited for the next 6 mo.
Frankie, what do you think about these tires? I've been considering them

@basilisc, I think they feel great and at the lower pressures you use them on they really take the sting out of things. I use a Challenge Parigi - Roubaix as a rear tire and a Strada up front. those are claimed as 27mm and 25, but in reality they measure up to 30 and 27mm.
The tires are quite confidence inspiring and roll super smooth. the file thread makes them quite grippy in corners as well. Before I bought them I rode a lot of reviews on them, but most of these come from British people. Those claim that the Challenge tires aren't that puncture proof. My tires still need to get their first puncture.
