Was their contract due to end? Perhaps they got a better deal.

There were rumors about Bianchi going to make a deal with Barloworld.

there is also a discussion on the Bianchi Forum about it. Of course in Italian so I have no idea what they are saying.

I don't believe there are new owners for Cannondale.

Has a press release been issued indicating otherwise?

As for Cdale ending their Bworld sponsorship - probably just money and ROI decision. Despite Barloworld's success at TdF, they're a pretty low-profile team. The Liquigas sponsorship, like any ProTour sponsorship, is hugely expensive and riders like Pozzato & Bennati have a much larger media presence than Hunter & Soler.
