Last "crash" for me was in Belgian Waffle Ride Kansas 2022. Navigating a gravel bike in rocky trails ended up with a slow speed over the bars situation when my front wheel hit a large boulder.
Before that I low sided on a gravel ride right hand turn. After that I decided I'd no longer ride gravel without some level of shoulder tread on my tires.

My last crash was on my own, february 2023. Temperatures were around 0°, light rain, but the roads were not frozen or anything. Just when I was furthest from home, went over a bridge with a corner just behind it. You guess what happened, front wheel slipped away...
My ankle was bleeding, shoe broken, but the bike was ok fortunately. Only had to ride 75k back home... fml

A few years ago
But last year almost died, bc of a stupid driver, who overtook another one on speed bumpers
and came right into my lane , almost died , had to go in the ditch at 50km , didn't fall,
folded his mirror with my front arm, wich hurt
she then fleed the scene, but i had the car type model color, a visual distinctive object under the center mirror, and the beginning of the immatriculation plate
found her back 5km down the road
she was called by the police and asked to come in to explain herself , was given a slap on the fingers that's it
if you arent seriously injured or dead, nothing we can do say the sorry police man who had a collegue commuting by bike at 6AM killed by a car that was never found
yeah belgium cycling country lol
especially wallonia

3 weeks ago with skiing in France .. 4 broken ribs and a little dent in my ego.![🤨](//cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/twitter/twemoji@latest/assets/svg/1f928.svg)
August 2022, group ride ending in a town sign sprint. Wheels touching and hit the deck hard. Helmet destroyed, collar bone and 8 ribs fractured. Pelvis fractured in multiple points. I ended up in the opposite lane and fortunately that black BMW driver saw it coming.. I've recovered well without the need for surgery or even physiotherapy. Just a shoulder an inch narrower but the biggest change is in how I'm riding today. Took a long while to be comfortable on the road again and in any circumstance taking way less risks knowing how easy it is to break body parts. Now I enter into competition with others only on the climbs, but the descents have become a lot slower.

In 2021 was riding my gravel bike on uncrowded streets and trails, bunny hopped up a curb at speed to enter a trail by my house that never had a cable across it that now had a cable across it. Brand new bike, no way I was riding into it so low sided and laid it down on purpose and slid under the cable, it caugt my helmet and I dislocated two fingers on the ground but it could have been a lot worse.
last weekend at bwr. was about 5 min from being done with the lake hodges singletrack and went into a steep downhill/ditch feature on the hoods (dumb) got bucked (sitting on the saddle, dumb), bars slipped and i lost control and went otb after careening down and part of the way up the other side. scraped up my knee but was otherwise fine but bled everywhere.

Never had a crash on road which I am very thankful for, especially taking into consideration I like descending very fast. I've hit the ground on gravel twice last year tho. Few wounds on each side but luckily nothing broken.

Crashed last Monday. Passed out on the bike during a z2 ride while heading back, likely hit a pole and landed on my face to the opposite side.
No broken bones, but severe road rash on knee, shoulder, face and 20 stitches around the eye.
Bike has a small crack on top tube and trashed shifters. Front wheel sounds like it has sand when spin but no outside damage and bearings seems ok, have to take the tire to inspect.
I have no memory at all of the crash but I know it could have been a lot worse.

Today. Wanted to take a small connecting gravel road close to the end of my ride. Despite going very slowly I slipped in a deeper section of gravel and scraped my lower leg a bit. The bike hit the ground with handlebar, shifter, pedal and a bit of the frame close to the dropout. Scratches yes, but hopefully nothing more severe.

in 15-th of september, I was hit by a car on a crosswalk by a distracted delivery guy. He drove over my bike and almost ran over me. Fortunately I didn't sufer any major damage, except some right hand movement dissability. Be safe and look around!

Earlier in January this year. Was doing a partial tour of the Ha Giang loop in Vietnam. Failed to notice a patch of gravel around a swooping corner. Front wheel lost traction and went down. Dealing with road rash the rest of the trip wasn't fun but it could've been worse. Grateful for my friend who patched me up.
