It's for the better. Ineos runs a structured team (results not withstanding), and Pidcock just didn't seem like a good fit for them. In the documentary "Unchained", the interaction between Cummings and Pidcock was very stilted and strained. You could tell there was real tension there. I think he needs to be in a team where he is The Big Fish, though he may find support a bit lacking at the end of hard races.

Pidcock was the highest paid member of the team. That made him The Big Fish in my reckoning.spud wrote: ↑Wed Dec 04, 2024 6:07 pmIt's for the better. I agree that his multi-pronged focus wasn't a good fit for the team and it's probably best for both parties that he is now moving on.
I don't think money alone makes you a 'Big Fish', being a team player and being prepared to dig in when the going gets tough for the whole team is just as important.BdaGhisallo wrote: ↑Wed Dec 04, 2024 6:12 pmPidcock was the highest paid member of the team. Look at the way MvdP is happy to lead out and protect Philipsen, as does WvA, they are proper 'Big Fish', in a way that Pidcock isn't.
He's an obvious talent and will go on to win more races, so long as Pog, Vinners, MvdP and WvA aren't competing too!

Beautiful bike. I love how they have the 54(?) crankset on. Wonder if these will ever hit ebay.MrCurrieinahurry wrote: ↑Wed Dec 04, 2024 3:53 pmhttps://www.instagram.com/p/DDKMUM_N7FW ... hja3dkM21u
Cofidis and campagnolo confirmed!
Its also funny that they show the non drive side of the TT setup, I assume because it is wired EPS lol
from the Cyclingnews piece on Pidcock, almost done deal with Q36.5
heìll ride Scott on the road and PINARELLO for the cross country. well it sucks I was just waiting to see Pidcock on a Scott Spark
Pina is coming to its owner in 2026 for sure

Can't deny that either.... but kind of like comparing a Ferrari F40 to a 250 GTO. Different eras, but both eat with no crumbs left.
I don't think the goal is the Tour, also because Tudor and Uno-X will be fighting for that wild card (Total will be surely in)
I think Tom will use 2025 as a new start and see how it goes
and why would it be any of these things? my understanding is Tour had tested only the previous generation (which scored rather poorly at 217W)?bobones wrote: ↑Wed Dec 04, 2024 5:19 pmIt may be heavy and slow but surely one of the hotest bikes in the peloton.MrCurrieinahurry wrote: ↑Wed Dec 04, 2024 3:53 pmhttps://www.instagram.com/p/DDKMUM_N7FW ... hja3dkM21u
