I would try a screw extractor. If you do not have expereince using them, take it to a mechanic. It should be easy to get out if it is only due to a stripped head that you can not remove it. If that does not work then it gets more complicated. You can drill out the head but I would do that in a machine shop.

If it's aluminum, I would not use a screw extractor. Extractors work great when the tension is already removed from the fastener. If the tension is so much that the proper tool stripped, the extractor will just cause you more frustration and have less money for beer.

Was the wrong tool used and that is why it's stripped? If the head of the fastener was removed, could the other end be pushed thru? If that is the case, remove the head and then push it thru. Done properly, this will be the way to cause more damage. Removing the head can be done with the right drill bit or a small sanding disc.

Working in the automotive industry for 40+ years, you kinda develop a lot of tricks to get stubborn bolts loose. The biggest no-no is never strip the fastener. There are always ways to get extra grip to loosen it, but once it's stripped, most of those ways are no longer valid. I do not like loctite on soft metals for this purpose. It appears they have some type of locking chemical on that fastener.
