AFAIK the Ultegra pedals don't use cup and cone bearings. So longevity shouldn't be compromised too much. You still have the 'soft' Ti spindle mating against the steel inner races on the Ultegra pedals. But that's probably OK if the spindle is machined to a good tolerance.

Having play after 5500 miles is not flawless. It's 6 months riding or less for many on here.kppolich wrote: ↑Wed Jun 29, 2022 5:21 pmNo play in left pedal, slightest starting in right pedal after 5500 miles, 4.8w/kg FTP, 155lbs, 930w for 30 seconds.....eucalyptus wrote: ↑Tue Jun 28, 2022 8:20 pm

Flawless is DA pedals running year after year with zero maintenance.

I have three years on my DA 9000 pedals with the Titanium Planet spindles. They've been rock solid.
This is completely useless without mileage. For some people three years is 3 000 miles, for others it's 30 000 miles.iamraymond wrote: ↑Thu Jul 06, 2023 10:46 amI have three years on my DA 9000 pedals with the Titanium Planet spindles. They've been rock solid.

Strava says 11,000KMs on the bike. On the spindles, probably around 8000km.

Thats only for xtr pedals and features a totally redesigned bearing system, he replaced the loose bal bearings with cartridge bearings to prevent steel/ti bal contact
