Man that rear derailleur looks like it is on the limit of travel

It's not pretty, but the cage is nowhere near fully articulated. It can pretty much make a straight line with the knuckle.

Looking at the TT in yesterdays Dauphine stage, those poor guys of EF Education.
Their bikes really seem like a disadvantage comparing to all the other Pro-Tour teams.
I hope they will have the new Cannondale Slice TT by the Tour.

Another thing, why is Quick-Step allways riding the older CLX60 front wheels in a TT race?
Was the Rapde CLX front wheels not as aero as the old CLX60 but lighter and better in cross-winds according to Specialized?

It's more important to not have to wait that little bit to shift to the big ring when someone is accelerating, then what's the optimal chain line.
I lost contact with the group I was in in of the first races I did almost 20 years ago because I didn't do the climb in the big ring, after that I'm only shifting down if it's really needed when racing.

With the team EF brought and the way they are racing so far in the Dauphiné (you'd be excused to think they are not even taking part in the race), I think they don't really care.

Safe bet they will all have it at The Tour, Cannondale usually publicly launches new bikes in the week before the Tour. But there is no TTT at the Tour so, practically, what matters is that Rigo has all the technical advantage available and he already has the new bike, it doesn't really matter if backmarkers, packfillers and stage hunters don't have it... doesn't matter practically, marketing is another story.

It's true they can...but for some reason always look fragile to me in that position...or as if they did not make the chain long enough

Froome actually wasn't *that* far back in the Dauphiné. 10 minutes down in the last stage, 41 minutes down in the final overall. That'll be comforting to him... maybe.
