I don't think any pro is ever on anything less then a 53 as the big ring. Even when riding 34 or 36 as the small chainring.
By memory 54 was the most common chainring for flat stages.

They'll miss Castelli on wet days.. Unless they go the blackout route like DQS this year.

Well, it’s better clothing.
That is good to know! I have heard of them but I have never seen it it person or for sale..
Just I figured with Ineos/Sky/Brailsford it would always be a $$$ thing

Bio racer is good and technical product - they just don't spend the same on marketing as Castelli

Bioracer retail roadsuit cutting is not good. The collar is too high at the front. I have Santini, Castelli and Kalas roadsuit and they all do it right.

We get our club kit from Bioracer. They have all seasons covered, also the Norwegian winter.
Club kit is not retail. I have both retail and bespoke (club) Epic jerseys and they are different in details like pockets and zipper.
They also make speed skating suits. They need to be fast too.

Personally, I have never really liked anything I tried from Castelli, products are so-so in my book and the seams usually fall apart very quickly and easily.

Yes, I think Castelli durability is very poor. In winter I wear Assos 851 jackets that are 15 years old and are in great condition. A Castelli jacket lasts a few seasons then falls apart.

Why do you figure that? The team has a staggeringly massive budget anyway and have proven more than willing to spend it on unsponsored equipment that might make them a fraction quicker. Better or more bespoke clothing is just as (if not more) important than better wheels, IMO.

Because Brailsford is Brailsford & very good at what he does not unlike Patrick Lefeveres
Your under the impression there is ever enough$$$?

That aside on the "better" side aka: minimal gains yes of course if there has been wind tunnel etc tests
& the next company has a wide enough line to satisfy all situations for sure move on & gain those benefits :beerchug:

Thing about small gains & clothing though is the stifling regs made Endura say forget it & they moved to strictly Tri TT where they
could use their gains...So there is also that & Hopefully UCI does not stifle further clothing gains

IIRC Sky/INEOS have gone as far as sewing Assos chamois pads into Castelli shorts and other alterations for specific team members.
