My last shoes with Velcro were Prolight Techlace. I wore them every day and the loops wore out completely after 3 years. Boa ratchets wear out too, but they take much longer to do so.
I've had Time, Carnac, and Shimano shoes that lasted for years and years. I never wore out a velcro strap. I must have got the crappy Boas on my S-Works shoes (Boa S2) because they seem to wear about after about a year. I can rotate the dials and get another six months out of them as the tops wear faster than the bottoms.
Lifetime warranty.. no problem with BOA

Is this a new Assos skinsuit/roadsuit that Reusser was wearing in the Olympic time trial? I don't know how to post pictures, but here's a link with a good photo. The material on the sleeves definitely looks different from the Houdini suit:

Bastion confirm it was their bar that broke in the team pursuit.

Reusser’s skin suit looks similar to what Qhubeka has been using lately. It’s also a TT suit, not a RR suit like the Houdini.

Carapaz has his custom "gold medal" bike for the Vuelta.

Love that paint job.. Kind of rose gold?

So much better than the gaudy yellow gold we have been subjected to by GVA over the last 5 yrs.

Looks more bronze than gold. He did finish first, right?

GVA's Giant had a weird green/olive hue in the gold, that matching ugly helmet didn't help, but I thought his BMC this year was pretty nice, a lot more tasteful than his Giant and Carapaz' Pinarello that I find tacky as hell.

Bronze gold with red bits that don't fit well and those cheap fades between the gold and black makes it look not finished as if the painter ran out of gold paint in the middle of the job or was too lazy to mask a clean line. Looks like something commissioned by Donald Trump... although not as much as Sagan's old Venge VIAS a few years back with gold rims, that was probably the ugliest pro bike ever!
