Been enjoying a bit of a staycation over the break from work. Weather has been variable but on the good days it's been good to be outside...

That doesn't look too bad for it being winter kingtom!

Today is my first day back at work this year. I'd rather not go into the office but on the days that I do, it is nice to be able to do a big chunk of the ride in on nice smooth gravel away from the traffic.

Amazing. I am getting soft as there was a time when I would have loved riding in weather like that (flashing back to racing CX Worlds in 2013), but these days, I will stay inside and ride the trainer.

It was hard getting up to ride, this morning. Turned down a gravel ride in Huntsville, since it was 35deg up there, this morning.

The wife and I got up and drove to Columbus for a nice ride out to Fayetteville and although it was 36°F (~2° C) when we started around 8:15 ish, the sun was out and it quickly warmed up to 40°F (~4°C ) by 9:00 am. If the forecast had not called for sun, we would have opted for the Tacx Trainers, like we did this morning.

Another morning on the gravel bike today. About as perfect as days on the bike get.

It was hot and dusty. The bike definitely needs a clean...
