Did she qualify to ride the olympics? I don't think U23 results would count.

That being said a 13yr old just won gold in the Skateboarding, so maybe she would have won.
U23 do count towards rankings, however Austria only qualified one place, and that was Laura Stigger; who DNF'ed. Mitterwallner has been beating Blanka Vas very easily in the U23 World Cups - she is another Lecomte, a flyweight climber who just rides away from everybody. She is one to watch for Paris in 2024, and when she moves to the Elites.

Damn... AVV absolutely flying in the ITT. Riding angry works for her..
Annemiek van Vleuten does win...redemption Complete.

Dygert probably still recovering from the crash last year.

Could also be an angry Rohan riding this afternoon..

Wout seems to be using the full width of the course better than everyone else.

Hard to call right now. Primoz flew past Asgreen but Asgreen has retaken his position. Primoz wobbling?

Blimey, Roglic got today's helping of Slovenian secret sauce!

Primoz has smashed it, the GPS time gaps didn't seem to indicate how big his advantage was? I wonder if he was dumping a couple of seasons' worth of frustration into that ride.

Roglic was untouchable just like AVV in the women's race.. Runners up on both races were so tight.

Dumoulin back to best form.. Great comeback.

Top 3 will be on the same team next year. Which GT is going to have an TTT?

Dennis was good but didn't have the pop of last year.

Maybe a bit too much climbing for him.

Doesn't matter, Pogacar will smash them alone where it really counts (re: TdF)

I made a screenshot of an interesting detail:

Roglic still in full TT position on the climb while Almeida and Asgreen both on the base bar

I cannot remember being happier for Roglic to get the gold medal than any other. Many tough seasons, especially this year. Such a nice guy and sportsman, a deserving winner. Same for Dumoulin.

Quite a specialist course in terms of climbing suited Roglic, Dumoulin and Dennis. It was also not a course for bigger heavier riders like Ganna who started well but faded badly, I suspect due to over-heating.

Would be interesting to have seen Pogacar in the race, I think it would have been closer than people think. He is not so good in the heat as Roglic.

Finally, the Cervelo's of Roglic and Dumoulin were beautiful. Such an oddity for a Cervelo!
