he also beat WVA on occasion too
WvA isn't a sprinter, he won a mountain stage in TdF and also a TT - Cav should always be beating WvA in sprints. Especially true as Cav has dedicated sprint lead out
Thats arguable!!
WVA wins plenty of sprints, against established sprinters too... he is a one off, on his day able to win CX, itt, mountain, hilly and flat races.. possibly the nearest to a Merckx we've yet seen, but to be fair, Cav did indeed beat WVA in all but one of their tdf clashes.

Chris Anker Sørensen has been killed in an accident in Belgium, where he covered the route for the world championship for danish tv, a great attribute to danish cycling has been lost.

Tragic, such a great rider. I remember him at CSC always doing work in the mountains. Such a strong rider.

Terrible, very sad

Terrible.
The second to last race of Chris Anker’s career was my club’s little ditty Gylne Gutuer, in 18. I remember being quite proud of having a Giro mountain stage winner on the start list.

Gylne Gutuer, the UCI 1.2 bike race I invented.

Very sad to lose another rider to an accident :-(.

Also just read about Tony Martin retiring - I'll miss him!

What a great TT race - so close between Ganna and WvA.

Does anyone know why Rohan Dennis wasn't selected for the TT? Seems odd

Still seems odd. Why wouldn't he? Has always been his key event

Australia didn't start anyone in the TT for some reason.
