Honsiger goes backwards as soon as the gun goes off. She must be all diesel engine because she has no sprint speed at the start of these races.
Same as her predecessor, but she is young and hopefully will sort things out so she can stop burning so many matches early on.

Where did you guys see the Koksijde races? I can't find them on the UCI's YT channel as I normally can. Did they show them?
Tiz has them

Thanks.

That was put together very nicely almost 6 minutes & laid out great
The top 3-4 make it look almost easy...
Iserbyt running past two on first lap sandy hill
Also Sweeck coming from that initial crash back to 2nd
Finally the funny podium with Toon Aerts tipping Isyberts beer

Honsiger loses too many places at the start, and needs hilly, muddy courses to challenge.

Thats a complete fail by Honsigers team and coach (es). She needs to spend her next off-season fixing this or it'll be many years of almost like Compton.

Doesn't she race on the road in the off season? It's all well and good having the endurance, but CX ( like XC MTB) needs some explosivity. It is possible that all the work might not pay off; she might not have the fast twitch muscles......

I have pretty much zero fast twitch muscles but a decade of racing BMX as a kid meant I learned how to start. In CX that meant I almost always get the holeshot. Its 98% technique and courage.

Another disastrous start from her; from the front row to about 20th on the first lap; race over. Did well to get back to a top 10 position.

For those of you in/close to Belgium... what is your opinion on the likelihood of December cx races going forward with the recent COVID developments?

Wasn't Van Aert planning to start his CX season at the Antwerp World Cup?

Reading between the lines, the Antwerp cancellation is not as it seems. Organised by the rivals (Golazo) to the World Cup organiser (Flanders Classics); Covid meant no fans were allowed, so no VIP tents, and income....so it was cancelled, whereas another event is running without fans present.

Saying that, I don't like that Flanders organise the SuperPrestige, and the World Cup; I'd prefer another company for the latter, as their presentation is very 'local'. Compare to the MTB World Cup on Red Bull TV - far superior, and professional.

Has anyone watched the Majorca and Lithuania Track events or series thats currently running. They have kits that are dedicated to the series and its relatively difficult to tell many of the riders apart. Much of the white kit look very close from one country to the other and the same for the red kit. The only one that stands out is the Dutch kit and even then...
The format is nice and the light show is pretty cool but everything happens in a big hurry as the riders get very little time for recovery between one event and their next.
I think London is next on the circuit.

I had the same problem during the Olympic road races. I could barely tell who was who. Some national team kits are obvious but others are kind of obscure.
