Merlin only uses Royal mail now. Bike24 has a 1 day DHL option but at a cost (approx. 25 euros postage)

And a very bad service from Math Salden (https://www.salden.nl)
A month after I placed an order for a Q36.5 jersey and the package is still 'in transit'. I asked for a refund and they tell me to wait more and that they cannot refund me unless the package is lost! Let's hope paypal will refund me.
Don't ever buy from them...

Does anyone know what service PBK uses for overseas shipping? I would prefer Royal Mail and not having to be broker fees.
If you refer to page 5 of this thread you will see a number of postings for PBK shipping. I have not used them for awhile so I cannot be sure but page 5 has the most recent info.

How is Bike24 for shipping to Canada? I understand they use DHL, but I know DHL has been slow to Canada this year due to COVID.

I just ordered from Hibike out of Germany and they are using DHL Premium which just went out by boat because its small parcel and Covid I would assume. Its a strange ordering system they have as once you order and pay for your items you have to email them to give permission to ship by boat out of Germany otherwise the items just sit there waiting. I suspect it gets transfered to an airline at some point along the way into Canada. Should be interesting to follow the tracking with the way they do it.

It's weird how things have changed so much online in the last decade or two.

Aeons ago I used to use Excelsports, but now their choice is in nutrition/clothing is lacking. I don't know what happened to them.
All the names have changed or the old places are no longer as prominent as they once were...

I have used bike24, bike-components and r2-bike, wiggle/CRC, they're all good.
In Australia 99bikes is good and so is bikebug. Pushys haven't used yet.

I'd also like to put in a vote for XXcycle (I just orderd a small part from there and the shipping was only 5 euros from France all the way to Australia!).
Totalcycling is also good. Bikeinn, I have some stuff on the way too.

The secret is to shop around.

Starbike, well, let's see.
I'm looking for some thin summer cycling socks. 5 pairs.
Some of my goto brands:
Castelli ✘
Giordana ✘
Pearl Izumi ✘
Giro ✘
DeFeet ✘
Assos ✘
Northwave ✘
Dakine ✘
Louis Garneau?!* ✘

*Desperation is starting to appear at this point.

Starbike does not have a single model of socks in any of those (the most popular) brands. :x :?

Now have a look at a store with a lot of good brands on offer:

Really? I see they have nice Carrera frames on sale. Even with those low prices you would avoid them?

I recieved my parcel from Hibike on Oct 29th which I thought was pretty good considering it made part of the journey by boat.

XXCycle quoted me ~50 euro to ship to US, which is fine considering there was a wheelset. When I went to check out shipping changed to 255 euro. No thanks.

Not familiar with starbikeparts but given it loads without HTTPS protocol in the first place, I'd stay away from entering any personal info, let alone credit card number.
