This section of downhill was a notorious bidon thrower in the UCI 1.2 Gylne Gutuer. Those days are gone.

Pristine fresh asphalt!

(Frame does not touch the ground, be assured.)

Lovely photos. I've always wanted to ride that St Gotthard cobbled climb.

As well in Switzerland, the early morning hours are just beautiful to ride. Quite and the most beautiful light.

Out on the UCI 1.2 Gylne Gutuer parcours last Thursday together with one of the other of our club's mamils and the local paper's man. This particular sector, named after ex-Astana pro Truls Korsæth after a spectacular dive onto it in 2015, had on request been resurfaced the day before by the local municipality for this year's race after incidents like 60 km/h face plants in earlier editions.
Yesterday we had to scratch this year's edition. Due to a local Covid-19 outbreak the maximum number of race participants (other gatherings too) was restricted to 20 (50 with a rerouting) by local medical authorities until monday. Race day should have been Sunday.

So: Cheers to all the mamils (and mawils, and those who don't even ride) who make the races happen!

A sudden normalisation of the local corona virus restrictions Friday at noon meant one hell of a workload and a race today.
