I was planning to buy custom hearing protection because I have hyperacusis(noise sensitivity) due to my love of water sports. Saw this one from a brand called Big Ear and I really want one. Have you guys tried these kind of filtered earplugs while riding your bike? They have filters with 9dB, 15dB, 21dB, 25dB and 32dB NRR so I guess that would help a lot.

First impression would be that’s really a terrible idea, I want to hear everything around me... now one thing that removes noise-generation is this https://www.cat-ears.com.
Quite impressive how much helmet straps create wind noise.
Edit: I should have mentioned I used similar concept of earplugs and despite the “band-pass filter” properties, you lose the “details” of the sound you want to hear.
