Starting to think I'd like some more subdued looking kit. Rich colours and textures, details, but maybe less with the logos all over. I've done Castelli, Assos and Rapha but they make nice kit, but Assos styling just doesn't work for me anymore. Castelli and Rapha have a logo war going on, especially Rapha now, no clue what the deal is but they're dropping their convict stripes on back and replacing it with a huge RAPHA on a jersey that already says RAPHA on it. Maybe they want to get their brand out there more or something. Either way it's a shame - lovely kit but I don't need all that crap written on everything.

So far I've sourced La Passione - quite nice but nothing I'd pull the trigger on, and an Aussie brand called The Pedla. That's more tempting. Anyone found anything else - good quality, high end looking but not billboard?

Pearl Izumi just put their logo on the breast plate and lower back, most of their kit is visible block colours with subtle contrasts/stripes and detailings.

Some of the PRO stuff has minimal logos.

But I just buy PI because of EP.

Really expensive, but I would have to go with:

Pas Normal Studios - Mechanism line (their other lines, Solitude, etc., are really garish with text)
Le Passione - If you're into the distinct French snobby styling :P
Pella - Really nice kit, really expensive
Cafe du Cycliste - Not really happy with the fit at all
Rapha - Not a fan at all - too overdone with the stripes and pink and grays and black and RAPHA logo everywhere

I'm not a fan of Aussie kit in general. I've tried MAAP and Black Sheep and while great for a few months, I've experienced durability issues (logos rubbing off from repeated washing, etc.) and the fabric quality/fit seems to be below that of the brands listed above. But then I bought these brands when they first came out, and they've been in business for a few years now so maybe they have improved their quality.

How exactly is the back of this Mechanism jersey subdued?

Obviously the back is not that subdued, but then it's really not as bad as that picture makes it out to be. When you consider that Pas Normal doesn't really do stripes (with a couple of exceptions) or any other shapes, or try to mix/match colors or patterns, but are just solid natural colors, a few instances of logo insertion isn't that big of a deal.

Take a look at the photos - I think you'll see that it's really a lot more understated than a lot of other brands. It's Danish, they're not exactly into "loud" designs.

@iHeartBianchi I love a lot of the colours and textures PNS put out but it's all the text on the back of everything that puts me off it. I really don't need MECHANISM or SOLITUDE and INTERNATIONAL CYCLING CLUB pasted all over my back and arse. The 'PNS' thing is a typical misstep that you maybe wouldn't have gotten if it was a British company doing it. Maybe they'd have just went with Pas Normal and dropped the Studio to avoid the penis remarks. Small things like this costs them sales. Really hope they work their branding and logos a little going forward. I'd happily wear full PNS kit, great colours and patterns. Their navy bibs are ace, I'd love a pair :)

Fair point, but there's literally something that bugs me about every premium brand

PNS - I hate the Mechanism on the bibs, otherwise I think they're the most subtle and amazing bibs on the market
Rapha - Hate the random pink / yellow stripes / letter on all black....their pro team stuff can be very nice though, but some of it is awful
Santini - White...blue logos everywhere...seems a little "too" retro, but not in a cool Lemond 80s way, but more like a not-so-cool Floyd Landis mid-2000s way
Castelli - Black...red logos everywhere...I really hate their logo
La Passione - The French love their patterns and color combinations! And I'm not going to pay for a plain white jersey, not that I'd wear one even if it was free
Pella - Really great quality and fit, but a bit feminine and same problem with PNS - you have "Pella" plastered on it

Speaking of Pella, someone IRL mentioned they look it up and it seemed like some trashy Euro-brand. I was confused, and then I looked at the website and realized why they could think that. You have to click on their "Platinum" collection - that stuff is REALLY nice, and REALLY expensive.

200 Euro for a jersey! Ugh.
