It's essentially a variant of koryord.

Instead of honeycomb.. It's a wave pattern which in theory gives better multi directional absorption and according to trek better ventilation as it can be shaped for airflow. Makes logical sense.. Will have to wait and see in practice.

I have a Smith ski helmet and it works great with the honeycomb.. But snow is way easier to clean than mud and grit..

Might be a hose out job to clean up after messy rides.. Not really ideal.

If it improves protection, great but still laughing when trek community manager “ensure (me) that the 30 years reference is real...”
30 years ago: no molded shell, no occipital support, no mips, look more like a rice cooker...
And they want to believe they made more progress with this than all the above combined???

how can it be real, if there are two other companies offering similar products?
i'm not knocking this. for too long the only innovations in helmets has been lighter and breathes better. two nice things that are not essential helmet functions

I am a fan of this. I think Trek hits the nail on the head with the "you only get one brain" line.

Helmet looks nice, very similar to the Spesh Evade in look but with some lime green inner bit.
390grams however, is waaay over the expected top end helmet weights - is that a real weight?

this gets a big "wot?!?!" from me. Yes advancement in helmet technology is nice and all... but its doesn't live up to the hype. Where's my super space age material that will make my next bike even more laterally stiff, vertically compliant and lighter too?
