I saw that on Twitter yesterday but this is a better view, didnt realize the truck driver had something in his hand. Like Tyson says, "We all have a plan until we get punched in the face".

I didn't see an object. It's better to strike first than to be a victim.

As the trucker runs up to the cyclist you can see something in his right hand and he then positions it around his back so you cant see it. But at that point he was already trotting into a fist.

Not easy to throw a punch when in cycling shoes and your center of gravity is back on your heels.

Kudos.

A tip to the pugilists, if you can, grab the keys out of the vehicle. Reduces the chance of getting run down minutes later.

A lesson to that driver about never getting out of the vehicle. You never know what you are dealing with. We had an incident here where a motorist went after a cyclist and ended up with deep facial puncture. A 2 mm allen key on a multi-tool can do some serious damage.

I seen that and thought what if the Cyclist knew karate with all the adrenaline pumping of riding a person would be stupid to get in their face.... A kick to the face with a speedplay cleat would cause severe damage....

Lots of grief between motorists and cyclists in Singapore, unfortunately - that's where the video was shot.

In a small city state, with a 6 million population, things can get angsty quicker than you can unclip your cleats.

I'd give up road riding if it involved that traffic.

I wonder what the rest of the story is. I mean, big tall white guy riding in Singapore. And he's a guy that seems to know how to throw a punch. I'm impressed that there was zero hesitation.

I think at the point the driver left his vehicle it’s beyond doubt something is gonna go down. So yeah, best be on the offensive.

Sad that it had to come to that altercation, but I hope the Ozzy Man does a YouTube review

I met someone in his 60's that knows Tai Chi. Some young guy got aggressive and before he could say "MF', he dropped him.

We are declining quickly here. Now I'm just waiting for the fight story that starts with "so my cousin does yoga..."
