I am bored beyond recognition, was looking at a pic of a forum member with a big beard, so I wondered, how aero is a beard?

I know from swimming that mine creates a significant amount of drag. Mine's nowhere near as big as the one I think you're referring to either.
I just wear heavy stubble. This acts as a trip to disturb the airflow and keep it attached to my chin and neck, not unlike the laser-etched tread pattern on the new GP 5000s.
didn't Specialized put the beard in the wind tunnel?
IIRC, the results are beards are aero, but leg hair isn't.
