Due snow at home, we had to flee to Tessin once more.

Looks like Sedona, AZ on New Years eve as over a foot of snow came down while the wife and I hiked in a light blizzard and 25-degrees. :beerchug:

I have the same Varia radar unit. What's your logic for mounting it upside down? For an aero benefit? Also I'm using the optional mount which is way more secure and it looks nicer than the included mount w/ rubber bands.

The supplied o-ring/band is borderline too tight if I put the mount on the seatmast cap. And the radar sensor is below the horizon of the rear tire if I mount it right-side up.

I bought the optional clamp-on mount. It's too small for the seatmast cap. If I mount it below the seatmast cap, it doesn't have as much aft clearance as the o-ring mount and the seatmast binder collar interferes with it.
I put my radar quite low and it works just as good. You shoud try the optional mount at below the seat mast binder. It looks like there's plenty of room below the binder. Don't worry about the radar being too low.

But it works 100% how I have it now, and it actually sits closer overall to the seatpost.

Old fashioned dutch ride... A bit chilly but at least it is dry.
Oh, it's all right. I'm sure that we can handle this situation maturely, just like the responsible adults that we are. Isn't that right, Mr... Poopy Pants?

Thanks!
Fixed a broken supersix hi-mod frame and did a new paint job inspired by the 2003 Caad7 bike of the cannondale saeco team.
Got all the other parts 2nd hand.
