...and now Sagan's going to do the Giro and the Tour. Ouch!
And he joked that he may retire as well. I wouldn't be surprised if he went and raced mountain bikes or something.

Maybe Sagan skips the Tour and rides the Olympics?

As a Californian, I'll be sad not to see Sagan at the ATOC next year, but I'm very happy for him to finally ride in the Giro -- he deserves it!

Probably not. The awesome-in-retirement Marcel Kittel recently posted a picture in front of Fujiyama (Mt Fuji), wrote that he had seen the Olympic road course, and humorously advised it was suited for riders under 70 kg :)

What else will be left in WT for Campag then?
Lotto Soudal

UAE Team Emirates

AG2R is Campagnolo on even days, Shimano on odd days, except leap days when they're on Rotor UNO.
I thought Leap Year Day was reserved for F*#king SRAM

what's the point of winning another green jersey (or: failing to do so, after all the route looks really hard for guys like him)? :noidea:

besides, Sagz wearing gold - that would look bombastic

Good to see Froome on the bike. That limp he showed at the TdF presentation didn't look too pleasant.
Those stripes on his Pina? Is that four yellow, two red and one pink?

The stripes colours make sense

That's why I said previously in this topic that I wouldn't be surprised to see Sagan not show up for the Tour. Now that he's doing the Giro I'm pretty sure that he will bail on the Tour.

The Olympics course looks tough though. Maybe after a Giro and the month after detuning his VLAmax in favor of endurance would allow Sagan to stay with the leaders?

You've got it (road.cc had an article). 4 TdF, 2 (sic) Vueltas, 1 Giro.

That's what they are saying now. After a tiring Giro he might pass on the Tour. Or maybe not. He won't have a lot of competition at the Tour.

^but if he really wants to be competitive during Olympics RR, then a hard Tour is a no-no :smartass:

He wont be competitive in the Olympics RR no matter what, it's not a course for him, too long and steep climbs.

you're talking about a guy who, amongst his countless triumphs, has won the ToC

I agree it looks way better for the likes of Bernal or Alpha, but Sagan is the last rider to be crossed off out of any list of potential winners
