Why would Movistar want him? To get wins in the ITTs and bolster up their TTT at the Tour? Is Dennis the type of rider to ride tempo on the front for the GC guys the rest of the time?
He did ride a lot of tempo in the WC road race in Yorkshire but that was a one off situation, riding for his national team, and he was on a wave of having just won the ITT. I am with you in being a little skeptical about his desire to do that more often.

To be honest I'd guess it's because they've been haemorrhaging star riders since the transfer season opened and they're desperate for any rider who can supply any wins. Valverde alone can't keep them relevant forever.

I would have preferred a more suttle WC colorway then that..... boy TREK must be happy.

The rainbow stripes couldn't have landed on a nicer guy. Pedersen was 2nd behind MVdP at the junior worlds. He won the junior Paris Roubaix. He was 2nd at Flanders in 2018.

He can no longer fly under the radar!

I actually think it's too subdued for Trek these days. The Trek logo isn't as big as on their normal Madone liveries. There's no pop to the paint. Make the stripes candy or metallic. Make the base theme something other than white, or at least give the white some pearl treatment. Imagine if the white bit was a chrome finish or something.

You can't put subtle and TREK in the same sentence...;)

Give it time.

People on reddit complaining about the kit too. Seems like a ridiculous notion to me. If anything I'd prefer it more subdued. Cav had it right, the focus should be on the jersey and nothing else.

The thing about reddit though... Here we have a relatively small set of esoteric weirdos each with their own set of idiosynchracies ... Over there they have like every single one of the esoteric weirdos.

I think the more subtle classic black bibs/wc jersey looks great and dare say that unless he really likes the more suble bike that it will get a facelift once they have some more time to add some real flair.

Usually the first jersey after the WC race is usually a bit bold and then over the winter it gets more elaborated.

I can't figure out why he'd want to go to Movistar.... its clear that he prefers that a team is structured and disciplined. Movistar seems all over the place with their tactics and goals.
