The curse is destroyed. Richie made it through stage number 9.
His follow up on Bardet's attack was almost like a celebration sign. I liked it

This was pretty close to vital organs.
Will we see new track safety protocols coming...?
I hope there will be new safety standards applied for the construction method, type of wood and grain used, in velodromes etc...
Big splinters ( more than 3-5 cm) are common in track meets these days. I attended to a few ones and every meet had one or more riders out to the hospital to remove a splinter and put stitches.

DKQ and Ineos just rode 75% of the GC contenders off thier wheels on a flat stage...

That's it for Pinot.
And knowing how bad Sky wanted this, WTactualF was Eusebio thinking sending three bodies to burn with Landa? That was clearly done! Even if they joined groups, that would be 1+ minute lost in the GC.
Superbe! What a stage!
Beautiful tacticts by Ineos, Movistar (for Quintana) and DQT. Pinot made a big mistake today, so bad for him, he seem very sharp and the biggest contender to G this year.
EF iniatied the move and ended by beeing trapped

Plus ca change, plus c'est la meme chose.
Ineos just put this wide open Tour on lockdown. With the ITT to come before the real mountains G looks a good favourite to take his second Tour. To be fair there were people who saw this coming, just not me!
But hey, what about Van Aert? True Green Jersey contender next year?

Allaphilipe seems to go from strength to strength...him finishing inside the top 5 in GC seems all the more likely (the chances are still slim though) as the race is approaching Paris with the way they race...amazing!!! Can not wait for the real mountain stages to commence!!!!

He is pretty decent, I don't think he will loose the yellow on that stage.
