Umh, no. Best riding tire, yes. But then, on each and every tire I owned (around 15 or so) the rubber separated from carcass at one point (less than 1000kms). Also, I flatted a lot on them during races, especially after the "magic" 1000km.

Are you guys throwing them out when the rubber separates from the carcass? I’d be happy to pay for shipping if you sent them my way (have reglued a couple with positive results so far)

The star of the spring, MvdP, won again! The poor "roadie only" fanboys and journalists have been caught by surprise but I've been following him in CX for 4 years and MTB for 2 years and have watched him get stronger year after year. He didn't win against some "no name" racers either today.

The only sprint I’ve ever won
Yes I meant "get up one time" like when it's start to really hurt and you want to change position.CrankAddictsRich wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2019 11:50 am
I'm not sure what you mean by "get up on time or was he seated?" I'm thinkng that maybe something is being lost on translation, based on something the announcer said. "get up on time" means he's ahead of the pace... I didn't watch the whole hour record, but I'd be willing to bet a fair sum of money that he didn't stand at all, except maybe when he first started, to get off the line. Standing wouldn't serve any purpose in the hour record, the whole point is to be as fast and EFFICIENT as possible. Standing would increase the drag considerably.
Mike Mathews complaining on IG about line Julian took during sprint ( I think )
Looking at video I dont see anything wrong myself as Julian has half a bike length & is following MVdP

ehhh.. I don't see anything dodgy there. I mean, Allaphillipe moved, but it appeared that it was just in response to MvDP's bike moving side to side when he started to stand up and sprint. I'd tell Mr. Matthews that's part of the risk you take sitting on the wheel... if you don't like that, stick your nose in the wind earlier.

Matthews is just whining. When you ride the fence, you risk getting the door slammed shut.
MM was pinched a little but not JA's fault... JA was going faster and had mvdp wheel.. he was just following as mvdp moved right then back left..by then MM had no chance.

The most impressive move was when he bridged to JA and Wellens around 16km out. He totally missed the move but seemed to make the jump with ease.
But the entire race he just seems to play with everyone. Attacking from far out and speeding up from the front. At 39km out he goes again, tt position and powering while looking relaxed and you see guys like Impey grimacing to get back on his wheel.

Doesn't seem like a fit at Movistar.
My money is that following the 2020 Olympics, Canyon works with someone to build a team around him, likely dumping one of their other WT teams in the process (probably Katusha). Just like Specialized kept Sagan and went to Bora to base a team around him, MvDP is probably worth the effort to do the same.

I bet that DQS makes a play for him... Belgian cycling team, focus on the classics and 1 day races.
Canyon aren't the best when it comes to pro bike paint (see Valverde) but they nailed MVDP's Dutch champion Aeroad, in fact all his Canyons have been on point (Dutch, European, Worlds) then he went and snapped his fork and now has a new bike:
I'm not a fan, the white one was all class.

Nah, not with Alaphilippe and Remco Evenepoel, they made a big play for Evenepoel, I doubt they have the budget to cover another big salary rider and they'd be crazy to let either of those two go. Basically, I don't think they could afford him.CrankAddictsRich wrote: ↑Thu Apr 18, 2019 1:35 amI bet that DQS makes a play for him... Belgian cycling team, focus on the classics and 1 day races.
This. Canyon would be crazy to let him off their payroll.wrenegade wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2019 10:58 pm

Bigger question is where would he want to go.
A team that lets him ride CX all winter, a few early season classics then off to the WC XCO. And so on.
A smaller team world be far better.
Think he's having too much fun to just be a classics/one day specialist. And i don't think he needs the money.
