Yes, the XCO Olympics is still his main goal.

Patience. In due time we will have MVdP, WvA, Evenepoel, Pitcock, and others duking it out at the classics. Future is bright. And there will be that great moment in the not to distant future when one of these stars dethrones an ageing Sagan at one of the monuments.

Everything points towards a road career. Else he wouldn't have left a pure CX team like Telenet Fidea for a self-branded team backed up by his road team. His biggest mistake perhaps was leaving Telenet after 1 year, plenty of stuff he could have learned there CX wise.

He won Paris - Roubaix for juniors, for as much that says anything I'd guess he does alright on cobbles. Question is, if he is a good British rider, won't he be forced in GT GC racing?

i'm not questioning his road career in the sense of his palmares, but i think most can agree the step up from juniors to WT is pretty tough, and 'stereotyping' his body type in the pro ranks, he's an outlier. I'm asking my self whens the last time i've seen a 5'3 115lb World Tour Competitive Cobbles Rider? ....

(edit: then again, whens the last time i've seen a 5"3 115lb CX champ?)

Another disc brake rotor accident?

Asked by Eurosport whether it could have been caused by a disc brake, Kristoff said that was his inclination, but that he couldn’t say for sure, only that it must have been caused by something sharp on one of the bikes.
