2019 PRO thread

Seriously, who gives a sh!t. Ride in whatever you want and without caring what others think. If it works for you, then do it. That said, cycling kit is more comfortable on the bike. There’s a reason they developed it.
But I’m pretty sure drivers don’t care how you look or what you’re wearing. They care about how much space you occupy on the road. If you’re alone and don’t take up more space, than you should, then there isn’t a problem. But if you ride in groups and you’re all over the road, then they get mad - and with good reason.
Wearing a t shirt vs. Jersey, I’m not even sure they will notice.
Now, lets get back to what this topic is about.

"I could have done this job myself in five minutes, but as things turned out I had to spend two days trying to find out why it had taken someone else three weeks to do it wrong."
What’s the saying?
It’s not *what* you ride, it’s *that* you ride.

Any news on Tafi, now that the Paris-Roubaix wild cards are out
What would that be, that you have to carefully curate your casual appearance?icantaffordcycling wrote: ↑Tue Jan 22, 2019 12:04 amYou missed the entire point of the video.blaugrana wrote: ↑Mon Jan 21, 2019 10:52 pmThe guy spends half the video telling people to ride in a T-shirt for rides where speed doesn't matter, just to have fun, and all that... and then suggests buying 230€ Rapha shorts with pockets because of course the T-shirt doesn't have them. It just seems ridiculous trying to sell the "I don't care" look while using several thousands of €/$ worth of equipment, and of course tagging it appropiately on instagram (It's crucial to let everybody know that you truly don't care). I see many people every week who truly ride their bikes just to enjoy themselves without caring what anyone else may think, and they are precisely the people who all the fashion victim hipster cyclists have been mocking for years.
T-shirt wearing cyclist on a 10.000€ bike these days? Cool.
T-shirt wearing cyclist on a 300€ bike from Decathlon? Let's not even bother waving to that Fred.
Yeah true. Better ride that custom steel with custom paint job bike which is expensive and exclusive. I bet you must be happy riding that expensive and exclusive bike that is done to your own measurement..KWalker wrote:all Giant bikes look cheap because they are cheap

From the chronicles of pathtic WADA and their low standard of providing organized cheaters more leash:
I'm sure the lab data was 100% reliable. The World Anti-Doping Agency straddled the wide gulf between vindication and capitulation, agreeing to keep Russia’s anti-doping operation in business after receiving much-sought-after lab data that could be used to prosecute hundreds of cheaters.
The decision came with a warning: Fool us again, and we can bar you from the Olympics.
WADA officials accumulated the data more than two weeks after the Dec. 31 deadline upon which they had insisted.
In Sydney, Australia we affectionately refer to Giant as Gianté. This is because there’s a “hitter” discount/ Ponzi scheme offered by Gianté to attract many racers and Melbourne D grade instagram celebrities. It’s a way of making garden variety Giant sound exotic while mildly mocking the owner.
Omg... I've been saying it all wrong!Wookski wrote:In Sydney, Australia we affectionately refer to Giant as Gianté. No wonder I've been shunned by society in general.
