How does the pricing of Campy ex UK compare to Shimano US/CDN? I suppose the same, right?

Well for a DA 9000 cassette in Can is $320 out of Labicicletta in Toronto and a DA 9100 out of Merlin is $212.06
a Campy Record out of Toronto is $415 and out of Merlin is $171.85 and this is all 11sp.

And people wonder why even good local bike shops are struggling.

I work in the uk bike industry. That Merlin price for Dura Ace is barely cost. No shop anywhere can compete with that. No amount of added value can compensate for that idiotic pricing.

I know. I bought a set of xt brakes of Madison today on only to find them on eBay for £7 less including the vat.

I'd like to know where these people buy it all from.

Not for us in Aus.

SRAM is also geo-blocked as well as Shimano, Mavic and Garmin. :x There are probably other brands, but don't use them

(well, not :x about Garmin, as I've moved to Wahoo)

I've just noticed as well that PBK will not send Shimano to Australia, only Merlin does. I wonder if they will stop soon to.

Let me get this straight, you want me to complain about the lower prices of parts I can purchase from other sources who send them right to my doorstep for no shipping cost when I spend X number of dollars when I would normally have to drive for an hour to some shop who doesnt carry what I want and who doesnt have a website that shows what they have and who doesnt ship the parts I want. Canada has a long way to go with thier online ordering before they come anywhere close to the rest of the world I am sorry to say.

These unfair practises are exercised everyday by Corporations who produce low quality components in Mexico for a fraction of the costs and then turnaround and ship it to everywhere else for whatever the going rate is in that country. I hardly feel bad about getting a deal on a few bike parts when I think of what the Corporations are doing in Mexico. Lets see them raise the employees rates of pay and be responcible with the environment there in Mexico.
Pretty sure thats not going to happen and if it does the Corporations will pick up and take advantage of some other low income country.

I'm always amused when corporations shop around to find the cheapest country to build their product, and then get annoyed when customers do the same.

Yup! I've said the same thing numerous times. Do as I say, not as I do, right?
