Only a week 'til Openingsweekend. Just hang in there.
Can't wait! Van Avermaet won earlier this week in Oman and both Vanmarcke and Gilbert did a final hard effort today to prepare themselves for it. Especially a strong ride by Vanmarcke to stick with Amador uphill.

Are you also suggesting that his body would not metabolize some of that inhaled Salbutamol?
Why are you suggesting that anyone is suggesting that?

He is incapable of benefiting from information, not actually processing or absorbing any portion of it

They had a video a few weeks ago, asking a bunch of the pros about their stem length and angle and Blythe's comment was, "I didn't choose the stem, the stem chose me."

those bikes are so hideous, sticking a 15cm stem on it almost becomes parodic

he gets some leniency for being former British champion though.. but then again he wore white shorts with his national champ kit :x

Is this actually real? Tim Wellens claiming he is doing 517w for 10 minutes at 65KG? No Way

To me that 513w seems something that he can do.

Sounds legit. He is a very good pro, not your average sunday amateur racer.

Maybe. The bike has a relatively slack stated seattube angle, but the higher you have the seatpost the steeper the effective angle gets, and he's showing a lot of post! Combine that with the inline post and the actual setback measurement is probably fairly conventional.

go check procyclingstats for Thomas TTs

twice 2nd in the TTs at the Giro
2nd prologue Giro
1st TT Tour and yellow
1st prologue Romandie
3rd Eneco TT
3rd Commonwealth Games TT
3 time top 3 in the Algarve TTs
1st Bayern TT
etc
Yea... I know he's no slouch, I just don't expect him to smash guys that are former world champions.
Look at the results before last year though.. I've always liked him but I'm pretty shocked that he's developed into a serious TT threat in the last year. I know he was a pursuiter but the only TT result I remembered was the Romandie one in 2012.. lackluster to say the least

Also surprised that Porte dropped 2 minutes.. what the hell happened to his TT? He was always pretty damn strong in TT, as recent as smashing everyone at the Dauphine TT. Was it a technical course?
Wasn’t that dauphine course uphill tt?

The higher you go the further behind the BB you get, not forward.

72.5° vs 73° on the Tarmac, at approximately 740mm that puts the Strada clamp approx 7mm behind the Tarmac using rhe same offset and with his saddle clamped under the nose still puts him a long way behind the BB.
