Super impressive performance. Somebody made the comment a week ago about Yates’ performance not being that impressive due to the quality of his competitors- this is what a top climber on form in week 3 does. Am I the only one who thinks every time Froome takes his hands off the bars to celebrate a win he’s going to crash?

Speak of the devil(s)
There's 8 former TdF championships and a (former?) ride for the ages between them.
I wonder, one year from today, who will be the winner of today's stage?

Froome gained 40s on Finestre and a minute by the top of Sestrier, then he lost about 15s on Dumoulin on the final climb. Landis gained like 15 minutes! Over several giant mountain passes! After losing several minutes the previous stage! Come on dudes, this and Landis' performance are not really on the same level.
Now he'll probably lose 10 minutes tomorrow...

A SOLO brake away for more than 80km IS impressive - especially against such riders like Dumoulin, Pinot, Carabaz and Lopez....
I mean Froome should not wonder why people as asking questions......

Whatever the thruth is, doped or not;
For cycling is this a really bad day. Nobody believes him or his team, he should have been banned and not been able to start this Giro and now he wins with an incredible ride.
Worst case scenario became real

Fair enough if you feel that. Who knows if he was cheating but that was one of the most fun & exciting stages ive ever seen

Those guys running up the side of the road with an inhaler is why I love pro-cycling. If it wasnt surrounded by all the doping innuendo and undercurrents it wouldn't be that interesting.

The rules say he should be there.
I've been rewatching since Froome attacked. Really, today was Dumoulin vs Froome. Dumoulin got hardly any help. The FDJ guys did a little bit but everybody else mostly sat on his wheel.
Froome also smoked them on the descents. Is there a drug that makes you the best decender?
I say Kudos to Froome.

So, a new era it is.
Must be my problem, but froome made me sad.
If it was 1993, probably I'd think otherwise, but today...

Is this what Froome is drinking really ??
Different bottle than the brand linked, but Sky have been on that shit for years. They did early testing with some academics and a BhB solution. There have been tests that suggests it can actually lower power at 40km TT pace, so my guess is if it is BhB they're doing it for glycogen sparing. To me that looks like a refillable gel container.
