As you say hardly a “punch”, the guy didn’t even flinch, but if he’s made contact then it’s right to send him home

Only Team Sky could call for safety of riders from being hit by fans and then have one of their riders hit another rider.

Still a dangerous behavior and not what we (or the TdF/ UCI etc...) want to see in races and on screen.

Brailsford would love to dictate his rules to the world of cycling. Or even more? Maybe he will do politics, who knows...

Who decided on the ban? The UCI?

Bouhanni’s swing was worse last year. 200CHF fine for that.

As for Moscon’s today. I’d be disappointed if my daughter punched that badly.

If Dave B doesn't keep his word about terminating that contract, is it than also allowed to hit Sky riders?

If Moscon was French or a domestique for Bardet he would never been excluded, we all know that.

Statement

Team Sky Team Principal, Sir Dave Brailsford, said: “We support and accept the decision by the race organisers to exclude Gianni Moscon from the Tour de France.

"Gianni is desperately disappointed in his behaviour and knows that he has let himself, the Team and the race down.

"We will address this incident with Gianni once the Tour is complete and decide then if any further action should be taken.

"I would like to offer my sincere apologies to both Elie Gesbert and Team Fortuneo Samsic for this unacceptable incident."

Team Sky will be making no further comment at this time.

Yes the UCI banned him. But his act can be weighted heavier then Moscon's as he hit van Hecke once and then grabbed him if I remember correctly.

Bardet got excluded last year from Paris Nice because he hold too long to his car. Get over it maybe

It’s impossible to lose weight over a 9 year period. If you lose more than 5kgs you must be doping... pathetic as usual
