Has Thomas definitely signed for Sky yet? Although CCC have publically stated they have mate him an offer I wonder if the negotiations are on going or dead in the water. It would be nice to see Thomas at another team, although that it pretty unlikely I would agree.

The oddest transfer that I remember in recent memory!

no team will ever beat Sky at their own terrain
Forgive me in advance, but I just don't get this at all. As a casual observer, and aside from money and their magic potion, it seems to me that the two main things they have over other teams are discipline and strategy. Again as a casual observer, I see other teams failing on those two over and over again. You can’t out Sky Sky so why bother
They also have a large budget and million dollar domestiques. Sky's Tour domestiques wouldn't even be domestiques on other teams.
They had one rider with Dumoulin on the last climb on some of the days. For half of the climb, usually.
I’d say they are three or four riders away from having a team that can rotate guys in and out of duty for the day like Sky does. At least. Maybe more.

You'd expect that after his Vuelta almost-success and his Giro victory the team would get some more serious support but yet they still continue to go on their own way.
^I wonder if Dumo will play them this Fleetwood Mac song when he goes to another team (which, according to transfers mechanics, he should've done a season ago)
CCC won't sign Thomas, or rather: Thomas won't sign with CCC. the reasons why are obvious and stated above - structure and discilpine (them lots of dollars don't hurt either). CCC's a new outfit, currently signing whoever's availible. Wadecki isn't the most seasoned DS out there, and Och has just this single GT under his belt - lightyears ago. it's too many question marks for someone his age, looking to add some significant palmares before retiring.
