If the ingestion is within limits, and the outcome is based on that assumed fact rather than the test, then the UCI just shot itself in the foot.

Hello. It's not the UCI. It's WADA and it's code.

And the limit they set is generous compared to the usual recommended dosage (I think I read the limit is equivalent to 10 puffs) so to get a reading that high he either metabolised it abnormally fast (unlikely since it hasn't been reported he's ever exceeded this threshold and has known to be taking an inhaler for years), he overdosed or he took it orally or through IV. Either way, over is over and he deserves to be stripped of his Vuelta title and face a ban.

Am I the only person constantly concerned about Lemond's blood pressure?

I think we can take the "marginal gains" literally. They went as far as possible regarding TUEs, currently legal drugs, using illnesses as an excuse for abusing drugs.
I think I'm on a similar page, although I'd argue no team deserves a clean reputation of transparency as cycling has more than a few skeletons in the closet. Pushing the boundaries is expected in other sports, perhaps even the raison d’être in something like motorsport. Those who get riled up about creative interpretations of the rule book in sport only have themselves to blame for creating unrealistic expectations. The world is filled with lies and corruption, why would someone expect sport to be any different?

It's the tendance where pro cycling is going
Look at sky running now the pinarello brand cockpit : most

They are not bad but not good neither in the versions sold with their bikes , the giant wheels
I guess they will have wheels build specially for them by hand with time to do it right

Tagging in for post updates. I can't wait for 2018 racing to get under way.

In the news... Rohan Dennis will wear the green and gold Australian TT champ stripes for the 3rd year in a row after beating Luke Durbridge by 1:07. Richie Porte finished in 3rd. Cycling tips is reporting that Dennis averaged 409w for his 51 minute effort

Giant doesn't make any tubular wheels, or disc wheels or anything over 55mm (rim brake) 65mm (disc brake). sooooooo rebadged everything? Sunweb on tubeless? Or a whole hell of a lot of new wheels coming from giant?

the latest is quite possible...there is also a new bike shoe model on the horrizon, and much, much more. It seems that bike companies these days are all about supplying the riders from head to toes with their products, and not just the bikes that they ride.

isn't it odd a company as big as Giant hasn't developed all those components yet? or at least take some proven rims, DT hubs or whatever and sell it as Giant wheels? :noidea:
