Making fun of other peoples misfortune is not my type of humor, and apparently not Geraint Thomas' type either.
He should skip 2.0 humor and move on to 3.0. With all that spare time he's got, he should be able to step it up
Nah.... There was lots of talk and suspicion of doping during the LA days towards LA. Nobody believed him being clean. At least GT has ridden for many years, proved his level of fitness throughout the years, and probably only won, because Froome and Dumo were tired from the Giro. Nothing pas normal about GTs victory.

Yeh, no, sorry you can't rewrite revisionist history, bud.
Literally hundreds of thousands, into the millions of people also defended Lance during the noughties saying the same thing. Think about the number of yellow wristbands out there.
F Lance, but no one is listening to you rewrite history with 20/20 hindsight vision.
Let’s just hold everyone to the same standards and have no champions- Lance is a jackass but 7 tours is an amazing achievement doped or not.
On the other side of the spectrum you have a sour Rasmussen who blames Dutch bankers for pulling him out and missing his trophy:

I think Rasmussen has a right to feel bitter though, Rabo knew exactly what he was doing and only pulled him to save face when it was exposed in the media. Then you look at who actually won the race that year, Contador, who was most likely doped as well.
It is the same with Landis, he was the rightful winner of the 2006 Tour, Óscar Pereiro was a joke.

Anyone who thinks it wasnt a level playing field on the podium in terms of juice intake has some industrial thickness rose coloured glasses on.Wookski wrote:Let’s just hold everyone to the same standards and have no champions- Lance is a jackass but 7 tours is an amazing achievement doped or not.
I thought it was funny and I'd put a pineapple on it that G had a chuckle at it too.
Nice to see the usual suspects keeping the Doping thread alive and well..

...and we won't be able to break free from it given someone has just thrown a decade old shit into a fan

god what is it with people and their desire to start redecorating a house by striking it's foundation. Puerto is so old, athletes involved are mostly retired, as usual nobody gives a damn about those who run it (and they're the ones that stick, and it's their names we can probably find scrolling back to 90's, maybe even 80's) so why the F scratch a healed wound? it's like with Lance, why the hell has he came back, we could've just had this nice memory of how cool (though a bit WW Nitro like) racing in his times was, but what change has his conviction brought on us? seriously, anything?
if the authorities can't deal with stuff as it happens, just let it go with the flow. if any party feels harmed, there's a civil court for that, no need to drag whole sport through it again and again..

Seriously? Like every epic espace race/stage winner is a joke?
Pereiro beat some very good names, future Tour winner Sastre and Evans included. Landis was the joke! That epic stage 17 was the f**** joke.
"Joke" Pereiro finished the stage with Kloden, Evans, Sastre 1:20 before him. Is that a joke? @#$%&!
