Not a huge surprise if true. Clearly the company wasn’t and isn’t making that kind of money yet, they must have been relying on a huge commitment from an investor to even get close.

Gaviria to UAE- do they have a decent leadout train? Still not sure why anyone would want to sign for the team.
Nice to ride for a team without money issues?

Plus he won't have to share top sprinter status (and races) with Viviani.

Fully agree... With race radios everyone knows everything e.g. who is in the break, attacks from the break, when someone is getting dropped etc.etc.LouisN wrote: ↑Thu Oct 25, 2018 4:13 pmhttp://www.cyclingnews.com/news/prudhom ... G74DgIW028

Where as in the few races that have banned radios you see teams pulling back their own riders breaks, riders winning without realizing... IMO that is far more interesting
If there is that insurmountable safety aspect in the race radio ban, how about banning bike computers? Riders can still pace themselves up a climb just by hitting planned interval times, so banning power meters doesn’t do much good. Banning bike computers would make them fully dependent on the race radios (which doesn’t provide complete situational awareness all the time), there wouldn’t be any safety issues and the TV audience would still get the power numbers.
The rumour is 2 million per year.
That should help a lot to make the decision.
On a technical side he showed he doesn't always need a leadout train, even without he could win.
Plenty of times he tried to anticipate the sprint even if he had team mates.
Im curious to see how he will fit the team because he said he does have interest in the North Classics and Kristoff clearly do as well.
Because their speed would still be relayed to them via race radio?Jugi wrote: ↑Fri Oct 26, 2018 5:00 amIf there is that insurmountable safety aspect in the race radio ban, how about banning bike computers? These whole anti-Sky rules are just silly.
Am I the only one who want the best team and the best rider to win?
Year after year, Sky line up the better prepared team and riders. They deserve to win.
If somebody else beat them, that's because they were better, not because of some random incident on the road.
Nobody cares that Óscar Pereiro won the 2006 Tour de France because of he happens to be part of a dumbass breakaway.
