Slop chop.

All in all a successful day out :)
Nice win especially on such a sketchy course!

I fear you have been spending too much time on the flatlands, when you’re down in Sydney next we need to get some elevation into those legs

The winning legs, Junior Men by yours truly.

We’ll do it again on September 2nd, as a UCI 1.2 Europe Tour race.

Epic day! You must have been struggling to fill your bidons fast enough with that weather. That shot of the peloton could be in a magazine.

No, it should be in a magazine. :beerchug:

Wow! So right... what a day! Friend from Colorado just texted me saying he got laid off from his job. Wants to take our bikes and go over and watch Le Tour for a week or two. Then you just post these pictures. I think it’s a sign.

Great shots Squashed. Your phone cam skills have really come along. Nice.

My shots didn't come out so well...

And Glam, it does look wetter there but I think my lungs would cope better - not feeling it in our cold foggy air.

Last week I was lucky enough to be on a supported cycling tour in France. We had three days in the Pyrenees, then Mt Ventoux, then two days in the Alps. Here are some snaps from the Pyrenees.

Heading towards the Aubisque on day 1.
Image

I had bike issues that day and rode up on a borrowed bike, di2 and discs, a good bike though slightly small.
Image

The road between the Aubisque and Soulor is stunning.
Image

Posing with another bike that wasn't mine.
Image

Day 2, leaving Lourdes on the bike track.
Image

Luz St Saveur and pain is indeed around the corner, the beginning of the Tourmalet.
Image

The weather stayed cloudy in the Pyrenees and views were often obscured by clouds.
Image

Posing under the Oscar Lapize monument at Tourmalet summit.
Image

Tourmalet summit cafe.
Image

The weather let rip on the Tourmalet descent and we went down in heavy rain and mist.
Image

Still wet on the Aspin.
Image

Day 3, Peyresourde summit. Still cloudy but not raining and I had my own bike back. After a super descent to Bagneres-de-Luchon we had a long van transfer to Carpentras so we could tackle Mont Ventoux.
