Cheers. Xmas day I actually got caught in a thunderstorm's torrential rain. Added to the fun of it though. :)

The last couple of days the sun has been out though and the riding pretty much summer bliss...

It's December in Scotland:

It seems I don't need to move to Greece yet

PS: There's something wrong with that photo, perhaps some of the more vintage-inclined WWs will notice it.

Besides the quill stem with a steel clamp bolt, threaded 1" headset, down tube shifters, cloth bar tape, and cables from old school brake levers running over the top of the hanldlebar?

Did a 3 hour endurance ride on the MTB with a mate yesterday. Surprisingly hot here in Sweden if only for a day. 6 degrees celsius!

You have the best commute @Kingtom. I can't imagine better. How far is it each way?

Thanks. Yes, i'm very happy with it. But it isn't everyday like yesterday. At night, during the (real) winter... Image
One way is 50k at least.

Midge, it looks like you are missing the bolt in the quill stem.

Huzzah! Correct, my Hetchins is so old it has a 'head clip' style headset. The headset clamps on the stem and holds it in place, with the preload nut above said clamp. I took out the unneeded expander from the stem to save 50 grams.

I got some festive riding done. We are having a great summer for holiday makers - not too hot and less windy than usual.
