Got stuck behind static traffic on the welsh border yesterday. Eventually got to the front of the queue and saw what was going on. This chap was driving along when his USB phone charger cable caught fire. Everyone escaped safely, but a useful reminder to avoid cheap USB car chargers!

Dimples: Laminar flow separates more easily from a surface than turbulent air. Delayed separation reduces drag. A groove perpendicular to the flow triggers laminar to turbulent conversion. A spinning object uses dimples so an edge always faces the flow.

There is a small, open top passenger foot ferry if you want to cross the estuary right at the very end past the golf course which I'm sure you could use on a non busy day, as well as the main one.
In fact, you just just see it on the RHS in the background.
I simply rode there (S side) and now on the train home so didn't need to cross.

Ah okay, read that as you'd gone there for a ferry across. I like the idea of taking the bike by ferry and in Norway we saw guys just stay with their bikes, standing with it in front of us in our cars. Looking up UK ferries which are much larger, eg. P&O, you have to leave the bike with the vehicles which means all the hassle of a bike lock and stressing over it being alright. Change of shoes too.
Wish they'd make it more cyclist-friendly.

Ah no. Felixstowe ferry is the name of a small village in SE England, past the main Felixstowe port. The main ferry to France / Holland would require the bike locked separately but there is a very small, informal type motor boat to take you over the river should you wish. It's probably a 5 mins crossing.
I guess it depends the length of the journey as to how formal the setup is.
