Which sub-$100 (USD) bib shorts should I try?
Moderators: robbosmans, Moderator Team
I'm looking for two pairs of bib shorts that will be my first choice for trainer sessions. Something durable, something black, something non-flashy, subtle logos. I've found the following...any opinions?
Assos S7 Neo Pro
Assos Factory Outlet
$93
De Marchi Aerodinamico
Competitive Cyclist
$50 (normally $135)
Santini Primo
Competitive Cyclist
$55 (normally $125)
Giordana Sport
Competitive Cyclist
$85 (normally $190)
Santini Tempo
Competitive Cyclist
$60 (normally $125)
De Marchi Classico

$75 (normally $150)
My current favorite bib shorts are Q36.5 Miles Gregarius and Eliel Cycling Laguna Seca.

My faves are the NeoPro. Unlike most bibs, they are cut low in front. Nice medium-thick chamois. Wide straps. Good wide grips in the cuffs. Like other Assos I have tried, they may feel a little weird when you first put them on, but conform nicely when on the bike. I have 2 or 3 pair and thinking of getting another one since they are being discontinued.

They are discontinued, but look at the Mille - basically the same product.
To the OP - if these are for the Turbo, have you thought about Half Shorts (waist shorts)?
How about Castelli Inferno.
I bought a pair for $90CAD ($72USD) from Wiggle during the off-season.
The only size was small & they had 10+ in stock.
