Hi, been lurking for years here, next week will be going to Aigle in Switzerland via Milan. Picking up a rental car from Airport , wife and I will be with our bikes. Was wondering if there are any nice areas to ride (Italy) along our route to aigle as long not too much deviation. And not too steep as we are bottom of fitness we do have 34x32 installed [emoji3] [emoji4] cheers thanks in advance.

Oropa climb from the recent Giro is en route. Another up and back can be Cervinia which is a fairly shallow climb most of the way but nice views. On the Swiss side you can ride up to the Grand St Bernard pass from the tunnel which is a nice jump out of the car on your way. Otherwise from Aigle there's the ride up to Villar or the Pas de Morgins (bit if a busy road but each climb)
