Has anyone used either of these bags which might be best.
Gavilan http://www.gavilanbff.com
Orucase https://orucase.com
Before you say it I would love to own an SS coupled or breakaway frame. I dont.
Hard cases are gigantic and will not fit within British Airways free baggage guidelines and frankly are not easy/legal to get on and off underground trains.
So these two bags look to be the most compact options for a non coupled frame.
Are there any alternatives ?? The Gavilan measures 32 x 28 x 8 so my 53 frame will fit with fork removed. I have been looking at oversize luggage but have found nothing else and no hard case small enough.
Anyone have experience with either of these. ??

That is a pretty funny response. Is Andrew a bot? Does he know the OP wants to pack a bike?

I dont know anything about the S&S backpack linked below, but ticycles is legit so I imagine this is a solid solution if the size is right.

i have a gavilan bff xs, and it's taken 7 trips no fees, for me and friends. So far no bike damage cept when i personally didn't follow the instructions for packing my handle bars, on a trip to france. I'd recommend it!
5 round trips with the Orucase so far (3 overseas with a transfer). No damage, no charges, usually no questions at check-in (the time I was questioned I told them it was an exercise ergometer, which with a power meter it is). My last couple of trips it’s even come out on the regular luggage carousel- not in the oversized luggage. It does take a bit of effort to pack but I’m also stuffing my helmet, shoes, a few tools in there, along with water bottles in the cages. I ride a 50cm Pinarello, which is the size as most other manufacturer’s 52. It fits in the trunk or back seat of a compact car easily, a big plus in Europe.
Not sure if anybody's looking for further input, but I made my own case similar to Trash Bags Space Junk. I got 4' x 8' corrugated plastic sheet from hardware store for C$30, cut and fold the plastic making a large flip top box. I then took the box to an upholsterer and asked him to make a cordura bag with straps etc. to cover the box. Bag came in at C$200. So ended up with a very handy 64-65" H+L+W for C$230 and maybe 3 hours of my time. It small enough to not gather much attention at the airport. I put my 56cm Cervelo R3 in there with fork, rear derailleur and cranks removed.

Founder of Post Carry Co. here. It's another suggestion, the Transfer Case. I designed it for easily getting around airports and transit stations, and it's pretty compact (fits in car trunks if that's what you take.) It can sneak through airline check-ins without a fee, depending on the counter agent. With international flights, they tend to be more lenient on letting bikes through without a fee. Here it is with my BMC Roadmachine packed in it and you can find more information about it at www.postcarry.co
I really like your travel bag, but i am afraid that high profile carbon rims may be damaged if the bag gets a smaller and heavy bag on top? Also i live in Norway and it therefore gets pretty expensive with shipping and taxes.

owner of a gavilan here, but i do like the look of your case and the padding that you've included. In addition to that, the wheels are a must imho. Good looking bag!

Hey Nathan,
Did you have any issues getting hold of them when you bought your BFF? I have had no response after three weeks of email, Instagram and Facebook, I wonder if they shut down.
