Does anyone have experience with this Italian online retailer called Cavaliere Bici?

A good buddy of mine has placed an order of considerable value with them and the communication is zero.
Included in the order is a Colnago frameset and he did reach out to Colnago directly before placing the order: Colnago confirmed that Cavaliere is a legitimate dealer and subsequently confirmed that the frameset had been delivered to Cavaliere.

But that was 3 weeks ago and since then there has been zero response to his numerous calls and emails sent to the online retailer. The lack of response from Cavaliere is very unsettling.

Does anyone know this retailer from experience or have a contact that might assist?

There's very different experiences on the web; many say it's very good, some had a bad experience.
Personally I bought ages ago a groupset from them and it was alright.
At the same time I heard of big delays or even mismatched items (like a group with an item from a different groupset).

If possible I would advise to use other shops.

At his wits end, my buddy advises that the shop finally responded in very cryptic English, despite him having written in Italian (haha), last night. It seems that the order was held up several weeks by a missing crankset in the size ordered. OK, the shipping tracking number does not appear to be valid, but he has his fingers crossed. The savings were great, so hopefully this order works out for him. The communication is rough though.

OK, they delivered to him - all parts correct. Whew. I think he aged 3 years in this process, but the order was filled.

I'm from Italy, they are known in some forums. General opinion is that they are unreliable.
They take orders when items are not available.

Prices are very low compared to the rest of italy, but the quality of the shop is questionable at best.
Good luck if you need to send them something back.....
