WTF? I have ridden about 300 km in the last four days with my loved ones!! and will do a lot more in the coming days. Couldn't give a shit about Rapha etc., never even heard of the Festive 500. If you want to sit a home eating and drinking, knock yourself out pal. Sounds to me like you need to get your family into riding.
My wife is a consultant anaesthetist and I work a heavy schedule as well in my line of work. Christmas is one of the few times we get to spend together, so I make the most of it. I still cycle, but I go for runs with her and her sister instead of cycling. Not cycling for a few days does no harm and I get to enjoy another sport. Works for me as I don't end up posting passive-aggressive replies on cycling forums like yourself.

But each to their own.

As the famous forum quote said "Mr Gib is wrong"

What's the name for a statement which proves itself to be wrong :?:

And it doesn't work well enough to stop you making just plain aggressive posts either. At least his was a reply. You felt the need to insult everyone who likes the Festive 500 apropos of absolutely nothing  Hope your family is getting the better side of you this holiday!

Happy Christmas everyone, my Christmas came early this year with the news of Chris Froome's AAF and likely forthcoming doping ban

Maquisard, sorry if I was a little rough - sometimes I can't contain my inner troll. But I still don't get it. You are in France and while it may not apply to the self employed, workers in France get more paid days off (31) than all but a few places (5th ranked globally). And if you are self employed you have the advantage scheduling flexibility. What is so difficult about getting time with your family? And what response did you expect questioning whether people on a cycling forum should be cycling?

And the "famous" quote? That's not what it was. Why change that? Is that sarcasm? Or just trying to recover from all the responses of the other forum members who like to ride over the holidays?

Hope he will win the wc jersey despite that fugly bike. What was his team thinking accepting that deal with canyon. Guess they most have paid a shitload of money.

That top tube (rather practical though) is one thing, dressing up the mannequin another.

Also his MTBs will be way more competitive than the Stevens lead mine he was riding before - that thing was over 11kgs.

Haha... True, and they could at least have centered that jersey/zipper.
