Only if you want it to vibrate a lot. Because aluminum vs 3D printed nylon

If you are not in a rush, I am redesigning it a bit, but won't be until June.
I’m interested too!

I've got 2 of the original design, but would be interested in the re-design as well. :)

I will keep you both informed. I did start work on a redesign, it is a bit sleeker looking and is designed to just fit a Garmin 1XXX series, I plan on using the same design for the other mounts I have also.

Trek (Bontrager) now has some sort of SWAT style mounting system for the back of their saddles, I have their only available mount (Flare) on order from my local Trek dealer. Hopefully have it before the weekend. I will see once it is here just how similar it is to Specialized SWAT. The plan is Varia and Cyliq mounts first.

I tried scrolling through the posts and wow is this a long thread. Do you make an adapter for the bontrager blender system so that a wahoo computer can be mounted on the top of one of the double mounts? I know bontrager doesn’t offer one.

@mcfarton, just go here, https://www.shapeways.com/shops/revolut ... =Wahoo&s=0
2nd row, 3rd item, select it and it has variants for either upper or lower Bontrager stem mounting system.

I can't recall if it was here or on Bikeforums, that someone asked for a Varia mount for the new Bontrager saddles, well I have one, http://shpws.me/RhCs

I just can't for the life of me figure out why everyone has to be different. While this looks similar in design to the Specialized SWAT, they are 100% incompatible. Why, oh why, can't we all just get along.

Now that I have the base modeled, I can work on other mounts for the Bontrager system.

Any update on this?

@whatleytom The redesign hasn't started, life is in the way at the moment. But I am not sure it will give you what you want. The arm will not be thinner. The redesigned element will basically remove the step from the top of the mount.

Now added to my selection of Integrated Saddle Mounts, a Bontrager saddle GoPro mount. http://shpws.me/Rljv
Also a Bontrager saddle to Garmin Varia mount, http://shpws.me/RhCs

Can you make a braze on L shaped chainkeeper? It would just put a ceiling 1-2mm above the chain to ensure it doesn’t come off in normal use and hold the chain on when you lock the RD out and remove your rear tire. It should break before the braze on mount fails.

Canyons direct mount version https://binged.it/2lcn6YG

Trek S3 mount https://binged.it/2jTHXzH

Aero TT one https://binged.it/2lhhiNC

Heavy duty https://binged.it/2lcps9Y

Most of the chain guides on the market are too heavy duty. This should just sit a mm or so above the chain to keep the chain on the ring when it’s loose. Only needs an up down adjustment. No sidewalls or Anything, just have the guide part sit out out ahead of the mount a bit.

Maybe put an oval or foil profile on the arm and call it “Aero”. You’ll probably want to support 38t (gravel) through 58t (TT) rings so you might want long and short versions or to let the user trim it.

@jfranci3 can you show me a picture of what bike this is for, so I have a better idea what it is you are asking for?

This is for a standard road bike. 1x with braze on derailleur mount. I can snap some pics with measurements later.

Ok..... Remember I'm not trying to survive a stick encounter, just keep the chain from falling off when i rememove the rear wheel.

Chainring sizes http://www.machinehead-software.co.uk/b ... table.html
Gravel (38 - 44) 81 - 93mm
Road (44 - 53) 93 - 111mm
TT (54t - 58t) 113 - 122mm

OK
Brazeon FD hanger - R5 radius on the hanger interior, R7.6 on the exterior. 30mm total with 20mm vert adjustment. It moves in relation to the bike's expected gearing (35mm center above the top of the ring teeth).
Shimano Bracket spec - http://www.peterverdone.com/wiki/index. ... re_Postion
SRAM https://www.servicearchive.sram.com/sit ... 8_road.pdf

Forgive the pics, but between the space I had to hold the camera, the ruler, and interference....
------
Braze on- mount (trek Emonda) 30mm total with 20mm vert adjustment.

Hanger bolt center to 1x chainring tooth center 20mm

-------
So if you give me a 90mm long device top to bottom, at that bottom comes forward 30mm, then goes out 25mm from the bolt center, and put a hole slightly smaller than 5mm every 10-12mm or so....

Here's a similar unit, that's too solid

https://imgur.com/2jFbpUR (45mm guide leading edge to vertical rod back)
https://imgur.com/eX7aUkr (20mm chain inside to support frame-side).
The rod on this is 8mm wide with 45deg rounded taper to the 5mm bolt circle.
